Leanne Jones, Leanne Digital, Advances to Pow Wow Pitch Semi-Finals
Indigenous entrepreneur member of Peguis First Nation, Manitoba, selected for a chance to win $25,000
Pow Wow Pitch, an Indigenous-led non-profit organization that empowers and supports Indigenous entrepreneurs with access to capital, mentorship, training, and community, has announced its 2025 Semi-Finalists. On July 9, 2025, Pow Wow Pitch named Leanne Jones, Founder of Leanne Digital, as one of 140 entrepreneurs across Turtle Island (Canada & USA) advancing to the Semi-Finals for a chance to win $25,000 to grow their business.
Leanne, a proud Cree woman member of Peguis First Nation, Manitoba, submitted a one-minute pitch to raise funds to hire more Indigenous designers and developers, scale her web design business, and create more remote job opportunities for Indigenous talent across Canada.

“I applied to Pow Wow Pitch because I want to show what’s possible when we lead with community in business,” said Leanne Jones, Founder of Leanne Digital. “Being part of the Pow Wow Pitch community means gaining mentorship, resources, and connections that will help me grow while staying true to my values and supporting other Indigenous entrepreneurs.”
Founded in 2023, Leanne Digital is a Certified Indigenous Business specializing in web design, branding, and SEO. The studio is dedicated to helping businesses and organizations grow online while with a focus on story telling through design. In just two years, Leanne has launched over 14 websites and worked with 40+ clients, building meaningful connections with Indigenous and non-Indigenous businesses alike.

“Congratulations to Leanne on advancing to the Semi-Finals,” said Naomi Sarazin, Executive Director of Pow Wow Pitch. “It takes incredible courage to share your story and business journey. You are already an inspiration to the next generation, and we are honoured to walk alongside you and support your entrepreneurial journey.”
Winning the $25,000 grand prize would allow Leanne to expand her team, invest in training, and increase the impact of her business—helping more Indigenous entrepreneurs grow while preserving their cultural stories.
Leanne will now receive one-to-one mentorship with industry leaders to refine her pitch before presenting to a panel of Judges at the Semi-Finals. Winners will advance to the Grand Finale for the chance to win the $25,000 prize.
